Preparing for your

Senior Portrait Session

You've just booked with Jennifer Tru Photography and you're super excited (so am I)!  So what's next, you wonder?  This page will give you all the details you'll need to prepare for your Session with me, Jennifer Tru.  I'll go over everything from what to wear to how to getting your finished portraits.  I'm so excited to work with you/your Senior!  If you have any questions along the way, please don't hesitate to ask me!  I love to help!

What to wear:
We all know that choosing what to wear can be a daunting task.  Know that semi-formal outfits and/or uniforms photograph very well!  Try to avoid hats and graphic t-shirts as they tend to distract for your beautiful faces. Remember: These are photos that will hang on your wall and possibly be shared with your friends & family for years to come!
The 3 most common outfits: Casual (fave jeans & dressy top), Dressy (dress/slacks, button shirt & tie), and Activity (sports/band/choir uniform).

Photo Tip:  Long sleeves photograph the absolute best!
Prop Ideas:  Pom Poms.  Sports equipment.  Instrument.  Books.

What to expect at your session:
On the day of your session, I will work with you/your Senior to find what works in your/their photos.   Be sure to let me know if there are any limitations or preferences.  My main focus is to capture your Senior in this season of their life.  At the session, we'll talk, laugh and have fun!  We'll start off with the outfit you arrive in and go from there.  I like to do sitting and standing poses.  Be thinking of things you like to do (hobbies, ect.).  Things like reading books or small things you want to remember about your Senior Year.  I love to start my sessions in the late evening (about an hour or two before sunset).  On cloudy days, we can do anytime!  Sessions last anywhere from 1 to 2 Hours depending on outfit changes & locations.  I have a few

locations in mind.  But if you have a particular place in mind (maybe it's
your school, or you just love the way a certain location looks), tell me!  I love seeing new places!

What you can expect after your Session:
Sessions are processed immediately following your session and loaded into your online gallery next day!  Once your gallery is ready, you will be emailed the link with a password.  You will be able to download your images and share them with friends & family.  If you're ordering a USB, your USB order will also be processed once your gallery is ready.  Be sure to communicate any issues you may have with your portraits.  These are YOUR memories!
