Frequently Asked Questions
Where will my session be?
Your session can be at your favorite park, river, lake, even your own backyard. I have a list of great locations that I frequently use for sessions, but I love finding new places!
Can you do locations outside of your servicing area?
Absolutely! Anything outside of Johnson County is an additional charge of $1 per mile, round trip.
What can I expect after my session?
Within 3 weeks of your session, your images will be posted to a private gallery on this website for you to view, share & download. Your gallery information will be emailed to you when it is ready. If you would like, you can purchase prints and/or USBs. Please allow up to two weeks from date of purchase for your USB/Prints to be delivered or mailed to you. Weddings are 6-8 weeks.
What does the session cost cover?
The session cost covers the session time, talent of the photographer and a collection of digital images that can be downloaded straight from your gallery. It is Non-refundable for any reason or in any medium. However, the session fee is transferable in the event we need to reschedule. :)
Do I have to be a member of PayPal in order to use it?
No. It is optional. You can still make your payment. It's safe and secure.
Your information is NOT shared. I have been using them as a payment portal since I opened in 2014.
What should I wear to my session?
Dressy casual long sleeves photograph the absolute best. Avoid outfits with characters, logs & words, unless it is specific like "Bride to be". It tends to distract from your beautiful faces. Coordinating Colors while mixing solids & patterns picture very well. I strongly advise against hats, especially with big logos/graphics. These things tend to distract from the beauty of your photos. Shirts with at least 3/4 length sleeves are highly recommended, as sleeveless shirts do not picture well. I have many examples in my Pinterest board, What to Wear for Photo Sessions. Remember, these are photos your children & grandchildren will be looking at for years to come. So be sure to take the extra time to paint your nails, iron your shirts and shine your shoes.
What if I have a specific pose or idea in mind?
I would love to hear your ideas! But please keep in mind that I will not copy another photographer's work. ;)
What if the weather doesn't permit my photo session?
No problem! We can move to a location with cover or indoors to your home (if you like). A well-lit (light from unobstructed window) room with a solid color wall can do wonders! I also have backdrops & lighting equipment. And if all else fails, we can reschedule (Your cost is transferable)!
What if something happens (at the last minute) and I can't make my appointment?
It is asked that you make any changes you need no less than 2 days prior to your session. However, I do understand that "Life" sometimes happens that prevents us from making appointments. I'm a mom of three children (2 of them with special needs), I know how hectic and crazy life can get. There may be a time in which I'm caught in that situation. I am human. As long as I have at least two hours-notice that you can't make it, it will save me the drive and we can always reschedule.
